VAULT VIDEO - Rolling Stones:Circus Cinema comes to the big screen!

The Rolling Stones are headed to the big screen.

Their 1968 concert film Rock and Roll Circus will be screened on April 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th in theaters around the country.

The film has been restored from the 35-millimeter inter-negative and will be presented in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound. In English this means it will be deliver "astonishing brightness, incomparable contrast and captivating color that more closely matches what the human eye can see."

 

Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, it was originally conceived as a BBC-TV special and filmed before a live London audience in 1968. Joining the Stones' original lineup of Mick JaggerKeith RichardsBrian JonesCharlie Watts and Bill Wyman are John LennonThe WhoEric ClaptonJethro Tull -- featuring future Black Sabbath founder and guitarist Tony Iommi -- Mitch Mitchell from the Jimi Hendrix Experience and others.
